Rules of Conduct
Sorority Letters Etiquette
As a student and band member, you represent
not only yourself, but your school, your band, your chapter, and your
classmates. At any time when you are wearing your pin, or the letters of
Tau Beta Sigma, or your band uniform, bear this fact in mind. Any action
you take could have repercussions on all of the above, whether it be good or
bad.
General rules of pin and letter etiquette are
as follows:
-
The pin is worn over the heart whenever possible, and
otherwise on the left lapel or collar.
-
The pin should be worn on a daily basis, but only with
DECENT attire. As long as the clothing is not too grubby, does not
promote ideals against those of Tau Beta Sigma, and has a collar or buttons,
everything should be fine.
-
No clothing, jewelry, or any other object displaying the
letter or Tau Beta Sigma may be worn if the wearer is drinking alcohol or
using any controlled substance.
-
The pin or recognition bar will be worn on the band uniform
on game days, or any other occasion when the band is in uniform.
